GROUND-BREAKING CEREMONY
On Sunday, April 27th, ground was broken on the new fellowship hall at the Beach Church.
It has been over three and a half years since Hurricane Ivan destroyed the original building.
Thanks to the efforts of Bob Browning, Don Ripley, and everyone on the building
committee, the dream of a new and much improved facility has become a reality. Many of the
congregation were on hand as well as Rev. Dr. Jean Simpson from the UCC Gulf Coast Regional Conference,
and Wayne O'Hara from Southeastern Construction, Inc.
BUBBA FUNDRAISER A HUGE SUCCESS!
Our very own T. Bubba Bechtol performed to an enthusiastic crowd on the evening of
April 26th in the Beach Church sanctuary to raise money for our new fellowship hall.
Over $5000 was collected and will be used to help purchase equipment and supplies for
the kitchen and Sunday School classrooms. The performance was kicked off by local musician
Steve Floyd who provided both original and cover tunes to warm up the crowd. You can learn
